Frico Group Contributes to New Infrastructure at Nydalsbrua
Frico Group is engaged in the important Nydal project, which includes the construction of the new Nydal Bridge with connections. The project, which is being carried out by Skanska, represents a significant upgrade of the road infrastructure in Trondheim and has a cost frame of NOK 1.5 billion.
Nydalsbrua, part of National Road 706, is designed to improve traffic flow and connectivity in Trondheim. The bridge, which will cross Nidelva, will include tie-ups that improve both local traffic and long-distance transport. This project is essential to reduce traffic congestion in the area and ensure a more efficient transport artery through the city.
Frico Group has played a central role in the construction of Nydalsbrua by providing several essential components and services:
1. Cuplok travel
Advanced travel system that provides support during the construction of the bridge. This system is known for its flexibility and strength, ensuring stability during construction.
2. Mabey Universal truss
Use of robust and versatile truss structures that help carry heavy loads and provide the necessary support for different parts of the bridge project.
3. MAT Tower
Specially designed tower equipment that provides safe and effective support during construction and maintenance of the bridge.
4th. Steel Beams
Supply of high quality steel beams essential to the bridge's structure. These beams are designed to provide maximum strength and durability.
5. Stair Tower/Access
Installation of stair towers that provide safe access for workers during construction. These towers are essential to ensure efficient and safe movement around the construction site.
6th. Work scaffolding
Provision of reliable work postures that provide the necessary support and safety for the workers. Scaffolding is an important part of the construction process to ensure workers can perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
Work on the Nydalsbrua is well underway and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. When the bridge and the associated road connections are completed, it will mark a significant improvement in the transport infrastructure in Trondheim, with positive ripple effects for both the local community and the business community.
