This project has been carried out in collaboration with AF Anlegg. The project is the E6 stretch through Soknedal, and is a significant infrastructure project that will improve transport links and road safety in the region.
Project: E6 Soknedal
Contractor: AF Facility
Location: Soknedal, Midtre Gauldal, Norway
Phase: Completed
Main components:
The purpose of the project was to build a new 6.5 kilometre road which includes a 3.6 km long tunnel and two new bridges over the Sokna river. The aim is to improve road safety, reduce travel time, and increase capacity on this important stretch of road.
Cuplok Travel
Frico Group supplied Cuplok travel works for the project. This flexible and secure scaffolding system was used to support the construction in various phases of the work. The Cuplok travel plant is known for its durability and ability to adapt to complex construction requirements.
Mabey Truss
Mabey Universal trusses were utilized to provide additional structural support. This system offers high strength and stability, which was essential to ensure the safe and efficient construction of the highway.
MAT Tower
The MAT towers used in the project contributed to height adjustment and stability during construction. These towers are designed to withstand high loads, making them ideal for large infrastructure projects like this.
Hydraulics
Hydraulic systems were essential to ensure the efficient moving and placement of large components. These systems helped maintain precision and safety in the construction of the new road.
Steel Beams
A considerable amount of steel girders were supplied to ensure the robustness and durability of the structure. The steel beams provide a sturdy frame that can withstand the heavy loads from traffic on the new highway.
