New pedestrian and cycle bridge over Vevelstadveien in Nordre Follo has now been opened and put into use

After the previous bridge was completely damaged in a collision, there was a strong need for a new and safe connection between residential areas, schools and sports facilities.
The new bridge is 55 meters long and is supported by two columns between the abutments. It is constructed using low-carbon concrete, a more environmentally friendly option that results in lower greenhouse gas emissions compared with traditional concrete.
For Frico, this has been an exciting bridge project where we have contributed to robust shoring and falsework solutions in a demanding construction process. The work had to be carried out while maintaining traffic on Vevelstadveien, which placed hight demands on planning, safety and close cooperation between all parties involved in the project.
We would like to thank Askjem Entreprenør and everyone involved for the excellent cooperation throughout the project.
